Meet Chef Norvin Acabo!
Norvin Acabo, Owner and Head Chef at Asian StrEAT Sawtell, brings extensive experience from five-star hotels in the Philippines and abroad, specialising in Japanese and Asian cuisines. His global culinary journey included eight years on prestigious cruise ships. Sponsored to work in Australia in 2015, Norvin took over Ongki Bowl in February 2023, rebranding it to Asian StrEAT to focus on modern Asian street foods. The new menu features dishes from Korea, Japan, and the Philippines, reflecting a community-centered, eco-friendly vision. Norvin takes pride in his Filipino Adobo and sushi creations, ensuring fresh, memorable dining experiences.
